Step 5: Cleaning and Sanitizing

If you remember back in Step 3, we packed out any/all restorable items. Along with the structure, all of those belongings will need to be cleaned. Cleaning and Sanitizing is step 5 in the water restoration process. While in this step we will clean items like clothing, upholstery, furniture, precious keepsakes and basically anything else that can be restored due to water damage. Since wet materials have a musty odor, it is highly likely that a water loss property will need professional odor removal and deodorization. If any items have been damaged, we will work closely with you and your insurance adjuster to receive guidance on what to do next.
